Graphic Design

The Proposal Graphic Design Lead is responsible for executing upon our graphic strategy for RFPs within the Community & State business. That entails close collaboration with Creative and Growth leadership to develop bid-specific graphic and design strategies ahead of released RFPs where possible and then, executing upon those strategies during live bids. The role will serve as a critical relationship leader for the RFP response team by guiding and supporting business stakeholders on the development of strategic graphic needs, and ensuring graphic development through pre-RFP and live-RFP phases are developed and organized in support of achieving compelling response strategy and storytelling.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategically aligned graphics for C&S proposals
  • Lead problem-solving for graphic related needs in our responses – recommending solutions to guide the response team toward achievable and strategically aligned graphics
  • Work with health plan and national team leaders to establish bid-specific graphic strategy plans (ideally prior to RFP drop)
  • Develop innovative and compelling collateral to engage target audience (i.e. state reviewers and key stakeholders)
  • Take complex scenarios, strategies and/or issues and simplify them into easy to understand visuals that resonate with the target audience
  • Develop continuous innovative approaches to how we communicate and visually tell our story
  • Create designs that push the expected creative boundaries while maintaining brand and bid compliance
  • Work with Creative Services leadership to ensure design and strategic consistency and partner to continuously improve design process, content and support strategy
  • Support, interact and present ideas to executive-level employees
  • Partner with production team members and bid response stakeholders in managing an efficient and effective graphic intake process
  • Ensure that all proposal documents are aesthetically pleasing as it pertains to graphic design elements, produced to the highest quality standards and delivered within deadlines.
  • Coordinate graphic communications to ensure that all project stakeholders are fully informed throughout the bid process
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work with staff in various areas of the company. Clear, concise communications is mandatory.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement and standards of the C&S proposal development process.
  • Foster close working relationships with proposal directors, managers and writers to assure alignment to proposal process
  • Partner with Proposal Directors and Growth leadership throughout RFP process to ensure aligned graphic and bid strategy
  • Collaborate across the enterprise and leverage capabilities to support proposal development and production as practical and consistent with high-quality and timely proposal execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with creative agency or creative team environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role, supporting direct customer interaction
  • Previous experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Online portfolio of design work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in supporting graphic needs in RFPs
  • Demonstrated, strong problem-solving experience and ability
